It's listed as "very hard" for a reason.

Jolteon's fragility is not present thanks to raid HP being fixed at 3000 for T3. In fact it's actually much more bulky than the more manageable T3 bosses. Couple this with the fact that ground is the only super-effective type against it, and ground type moves painfully lack the necessary DPS to win before the timer runs out. Before Groudon, the only theoretical way to beat it was with 6 Confusion/Shadow Ball Mewtwos.

You'll pretty much need to either max those Groudons out or rely on weather boosts to win.

Yup. Just another raid I wont spend money on a raid pass for because I don't even have 1 Groudon.

Same...I wish they went straight to the continent pokemon after kyogre's event wrapped up, its the only good ground type

It is exceptional hard. I have 3 lvl 40 Groudon (100,98 and 96%, all with atk 15). I struggle with the timer, with only a few seconds of margin and depend how close to the end I am allowed to fight before I get time out.

It is fun to have a really hard piece, but Jolteon is far from the old Alakazam in entertainment value.

Try leading with 2 high DPS mon. I did ray, cloudy weather machamp, l40 15a Groudon and l35 13a Groudon and ended with 10 secs to spare. When I switch the order and lead with Groudon, I ran out of time.

Groudon has higher DPS against Jolteon than Ray if neither is being boosted. Groudon>Ray>Mewtwo>Salamence>Gengar>Dnite in neutral weather.

I assume your 3 Groudons have Mud shot and EQ? If not, I'd start there. I haven't fought him since he was around earlier this year but I remember beating him 3 times in one day with 2 Groudons and a bunch of lvl 35 Flareons in Clear weather. They all had Thunder Shock though

You should be able- did today thunderbolt/discharge with level 40 Groudon MS/EQ, level 33.5 Groudon MS/EQ, 2 level 40 rayquaza DT/O, level 25 Groudon MS/EQ partly cloudy with 5 seconds started at 176, I’d imagine 3 level 35 Groudon with ideal moveset is plenty maybe just rng or timer

It's just very hard. I only have one Groudon powered up so I can barely beat it with the help of maxed generalists if there aren't any weatherboosts helping me, and even then it takes several tries for the stars to align right.
