Gen3 walking buddies?

Which of the new gen3 are actually worth walking? As compared to Tyranitar/Dragonite/etc.

Slaking chain certainly, however are there any others?

For my dex, Slaking can wait. Gardevoir for sure is at the top of my list, though I foolishly candied the only Ralts I've found so far. :/

I'd also walk a Torchic because Fire starters are more rare where I live than the other two.

I’ve already read so many players wish they could get their resources back from dumping into Slaking cause defending isn’t much of a thing anymore and he goes down pretty fast.

Okay, let's play your game. What is a challenging defender in your opinion? Blissey, right? And how long has Machamp been a raid boss? Are you telling me Blissey presents problems for you?

I agree. I just defeated a 37xx Slaking with Machamps. It was a disappointing feeling as it went down faster than even a Chansey.

Raltz and Kirlia especially. And mudkipz, gotta have that mudkipz for the Swampert. Also Torchic and Treecko.

I wouldn't buddy slaking tbh. Rather do treeko or torchic

The only non-filler Gen3 pokemon I have found so far are Torchic and Makuhita. The Torchic have all been mediocre IVs, but my first Makuhita was 93% so I'm walking with her.

So, I'm hearing the three starters, ralts, and makuhita.

Sadly, I've found none of these. :)

Honestly, I don't see a point in buddying the starters. They will obtainable in events and will probably be in an upcoming raid rotation. I would do one the rarer Pokemon or ones that will always be useful. I am walking my Lapras, because I have a perfect one and not enough candies with the new level boost.

Will trade mine for any legendary except Suicune (sucks) or Ho-Oh (have a lot). Prefer Raikou or Lugia. Fire up trading, Niantic.

I have 3 extra Raikous at 1900--all 15a/13d/14s. Powered two 96% up already, plus powered a 96% Zapdos. I'd easily trade one of those 1900 for any 96%+ Lapras...have one 15 attack Articuno, but none else I would do anything with---it has been clear/sunny 100% of the time. Never gonna catch a sky high level ice attacker, also seeming like only bonus will be grass/fire/ground

Slaking? I would buddy a Pidgey before I do Slaking.

I have a slakoth as my buddy right now (I know...) just because I already caught a level 35, 96 IV one and just want to get over it but as soon as I'm finished I will probably go with Ralts hoping to get a good IV one. Already have a perfect legacy Blaziken and the other two starters haven't been that uncommon for me; I'm close to getting enough candy for a Sceptile.
So... Ralts, go Ralts.

Ralts, definitely. Even though Gardevoir doesn't have a Fairy fast move, it's still quite useful (and a personal favorite). Right now I have this little Ralts I caught today as my walking buddy :)

Slakoth family certainly not, just a dex entry.

Ralts is where it's at, and possibly whichever starters are rare for you (both Treecko and Torchic for me) if you don't want to wait for events.

I expect to walk Ralts for the next several hundred kilometers unless the pseudos are released first.

Got a 100 Torchic...my new permabud

Machamp is still my ride or die.

Mudkip is the rarest one for me - which is disappointing because you may have heard I liek dem. Living on the coast I was used to being flooded with water types. Since weather they have been scaled back tremendously. (I am ecstatic to report that despite this my shiny karp train just keeps on trucking). Dont know if Swampert will be particularly useful. No one has one yet. If you want a safe choice go got Torchic or Ralts

Ralts or starters, cuz these are the rarest that require 125 candy. But honestly none of the new Gen are all that useful (give Gardevoir a fairy quick move and that may change), so I personally stick with my Ttar, to be changed to a Dnite when I'm satisfied with my larvitar candy. Really just stock up on your pinaps.
