100% Magikarp... but...
I hatched a (125 CP) Magikarp yesterday. I love it but, if I evolve it it could end up with a poor move-set like Twister and make it unwanted and not very valuable. Would you leave it as a Magikarp and marvel at your 100% flawless fish or risk losing that joy? Of course if the Gyarados has the best move-set I would be in heaven. I am scared to evolve it though!!!
Imagine having a girlfriend that is a virgin and then some other guy sleeps with her while you are dating. That is how I would feel about tainting my 100% fish if it ends up with Twister.
HELP!!!!

I agree. Twister is so annoying to fight against. It slows me down when attacking it. I think it gets a bad rep as a charge move and it may not be as valuable for trade or whatever. But in real life situation as trainers I think it's not as bad as it's reputation. Btw, Gyarados is overrated I think. It's useful as a gym fodder due to it's high CP. Not a top tier mon by any means. Go ahead and evolve it! If you're scared then get a dog.
Each moveset has its merits. I see them as such:
- Hydro Pump, the best DPS moveset and absolutely destroys Fire, Rock/ground types
- Dragon Pulse, the best moveset against Dragonite, and with the current CP buff, you can probably take out 2-3 2k dragonites
- Twister, is definitely the most annoying moveset on defense to fight against. I mean, it certainly will not kill my Jolteon outright, but as a dodger I'm always contemplating whether or not I should dodge this, and you'll waste seconds of their time. Even then, Gyarados has such a high CP cap now, just power it up and stick it in a gym, you can get a good spot.
