Alright wtf with flee rate these days
Since the last update, i have the feeling that flee rate has been increased dramatically.
In the last few days, a huge number of pokemon fled me, even pidgeys and rats.
I always do a curve ball, and i usually aim for a great throw. Most of the time, it's enough to catch it. But almost everytime the pokemon broke out, it fled me
Am i the only one here who experienced this? Did niantic change anything to the flee rates? Or am i just extremely unlucky, as i've always been in this game (i.e. exactly 500 hatches, still not a single snorlax since july)
I mean it feels like catching Abras ^^

Probably just bad luck, I've gone through phases of this before. For a while it seemed like one out of every 3 or 4 days I had more than 50% flee in a day (wasn't consistently throwing curve balls but was around your level) to the point that I just accepted it would happen every few days. Currently level 32. Still haven't hatched a Lapras btw.
The equations / probabilities for catch rates and flee rates are set.
You probably just hit a bad streak. Combination of being on the wrong side of both the catch rate and the flee rate. It's not crazy for crappy mons to flee, especially the higher CP ones which you will find more of as you level up as a Trainer.
Combination of two things:
Random luck - the nature of random numbers means you get short good periods and short bad periods in amongst average periods.
As you climb levels you get a greater number of high level Pokemons which are harder to catch than low level ones. It's easy to forget that a 375cp Rat is fairly high level.
