Small great pokemon
These are pokemon, who are likely to be overlooked or underestimated, and they don't have a special remark, mostly only moderate rating.
They are brilliant prestigers, and slow but steady gym attackers too.
They usually share a usefull typing, good defense and mediocrate attack stat. Usually, they are a bit potion intensive.
I like them very much, and a give you a list.
I assume, the most of you know all of them and like some of them. If you are not familiar with all of them, take a look! They are worth it.

A bit related to Hypno - recently, using a suicide squad tactic, I was surprised for the first time by a Confusion Mr. Mime. Single handed beat a bite Gyarados double his xp. Gya had HP I think, did not had time to cast it :), might had been luck that gym AI delayed the cast to much. I need to pay more attention to next Mr. Mime fights.
Actually, I put Piloswine above Cloyster as a Dragonite attacker or prestiger as Piloswine has much higher HP than Cloyster.
I have a 1859 CP Piloswine with Powder Snow + Avalanche and he can take down a 3000 CP Dragonite on his own just before fainting with 3 x Avalanche charge moves (2-bar charge move) - deadly.
For presitiging I am hunting for Swinub's with CP in the range 370 to 405 to evolve. Caught several, but did not manage to evolve one with Avalanche yet.
Lanturn is also a favourite of mine from Gen 2.
Piloswine's and Cloysters ATT-Stat is quite similar: Short over 180+IV.
So, as i confirmed in simulation, battle time against dragonite only depends on moveset.
In my simulation, both pokemon battle with same dodging scheme.
If both have Avalanche / Ice Shard, the time is pretty much the same.
Blizzard takes 3 seconds longer than AV (Cloyster).
Frost breath is 3 seconds better than IS (Cloyster)
Powder snow is 2 seconds better than IS (Piloswine)
This is a good list Bruno, and I would also add that the half-CP versions of Vaporeon, Flareon, Jolteon, plus Dragonite, are also fine prestigers. If you find them at level 15 or so, they are just at the right CP level for prestiging. Half CP Lapras and Tyranitars would also be great as prestigers but their rarity makes them inaccessible.
The topics are related to each other, but my list was focussed on underestimated pokemon.
A prestiger's list would surely contain the same pokemon, and - as you are writing correctly, some not fully powered attackers.
Vaporeon counts to these for sure, Lapras too, but not flareon, jolteon and dragonite. -
they may be good for prestiging anyway, but they have a smaller defense, and a strong attack, and this makes them overestimated by cp-formula, which is not ideal for a prestiger.
