Pokeball throwing glitch

Does anyone else get where if the pokemon is close to you and you lightly flick the ball, the ball flies way off the screen then about 10 seconds later hits the ground behind the pokemon and continues to roll for another 5 seconds? These pokemon run 50% of the time, too. Seems to be only with regular Poke Balls.

Yeah, that bug is truly annoying.

What I find helpful is to alter your throws for those types of Pokemon. Instead of your standard throw, drag the ball almost to the Pokemon height, and basically just drop it right on there. The "drag-n-drop" works for common Pokemon that default to the closest distance, so stuff like Pidgey, Rattata, Caterpie, Weedle.

is drag and drop like when you check the circle color then stop the ball like you're gonna change?

I've found that this bug happens when I throw a pokeball in the last half second of the resist/fight animation, regardless of how far away the pokemon is. (I've had it happen with Zubat.)
