increased spawn rate

now that there are more pokemon about it'll be difficult to stay motivated to play when the event ends... what does everyone else think?

I honestly didn't even know there was an event going on until today lol.

TBH I don't like having all of the new pokemon around - I prefer to walk (briskly) while playing, and with so many mons I'm tempted to stand in one place and catch them all. I am going to miss the 2x items from hacking pokestops though, since it makes farming go a whole lot faster.

I didn't change my road at home at all. At my hunting spot it's mostly just full of junk Pokemon, every now and then I click one to check cps but that's about it. I just walk to hatch eggs. Did catch 2 snorlax yesterday and 1 this morning in the same spot in my new hunting area. Hopefully that stays the same when the event ends.

Honestly almost all of my good pokemons come from eggs, so this event just doubles xp and stardust grinding, it won't be a huge loss.
Also my usual routes have more spawnpoints than pokestop so I end up catching only the useful pokemons since I'm constantly low on pokeballs

Hmm sorta I mean the spawn rate increased helps just to get more exp faster but I will miss the double items. It wont be that hard to go back to the usual compared to the halloween event with the doubled candies.

I just learned about the new "event" yesterday. I was actually disappointed because I thought the increased pokestop drop rate and spawn rate were now permanent, to keep people interested and playing. You're totally right - after the Halloween event and now the temporary increase in available pokemon, it'll be hard to go back to the slow grind again.

I keep saying I'll quit, yet here I am still... just like an alcoholic or druggie!

Niantic should leave this spawn rate as it is, playing is much fun now. Even tho 99% of my top mons came from eggs, having these spawns motivates you to keep playing, either for grinding exp, dust or just hanging around.

They should definitely keep this rate, imo.

What I like the most is that different types of Pokémons arise in previous spots of Pidgey- or Rattata-only. I have more than the usual patience, to catch and make dust, I've been told, so I find it amusing these double things, but I haven't had less interest in the game even before the Halloween. BUT, I know that for people with less patience/time to play, these events have been amazing.

This "Increased spawn rate" actually hurt my city's beach a LOT. What was a nice place to farm water, grass, uncommons and rares has now turned into a Magnemite and Voltorb cluster fuck. 80% of the spawns are these Pokemon and the rest are water pokemon with the occasional Dratini.

I've taken maximum advantage of it to up my xp to Lv30 and power up a few defenders but I won't be sorry when it ends. There's the odd useful candy I've picked up but it's been mostly xp/dust fodder and I don't have the time to catch everything I see.

Mostly though I'm sick of seeing annoying Mr Mimes...

I think they should go half way between the normal spawns and these increased spawns, and half way between the normal pokestop drops and the increased drops.
