increased spawn rate
now that there are more pokemon about it'll be difficult to stay motivated to play when the event ends... what does everyone else think?

I didn't change my road at home at all. At my hunting spot it's mostly just full of junk Pokemon, every now and then I click one to check cps but that's about it. I just walk to hatch eggs. Did catch 2 snorlax yesterday and 1 this morning in the same spot in my new hunting area. Hopefully that stays the same when the event ends.
I just learned about the new "event" yesterday. I was actually disappointed because I thought the increased pokestop drop rate and spawn rate were now permanent, to keep people interested and playing. You're totally right - after the Halloween event and now the temporary increase in available pokemon, it'll be hard to go back to the slow grind again.
I keep saying I'll quit, yet here I am still... just like an alcoholic or druggie!
What I like the most is that different types of Pokémons arise in previous spots of Pidgey- or Rattata-only. I have more than the usual patience, to catch and make dust, I've been told, so I find it amusing these double things, but I haven't had less interest in the game even before the Halloween. BUT, I know that for people with less patience/time to play, these events have been amazing.
I've taken maximum advantage of it to up my xp to Lv30 and power up a few defenders but I won't be sorry when it ends. There's the odd useful candy I've picked up but it's been mostly xp/dust fodder and I don't have the time to catch everything I see.
Mostly though I'm sick of seeing annoying Mr Mimes...
