I've been working really hard, spending every weekend farming Machops and Dratinis after Gen 2, spending incubators on hatching eggs, and THIS is what I got. Sooooo frustrating.
I think they should implement a system that guarantees non-repetitive evolution move set (from what you have in storage currently; if you have all then randomly pick one). That way we still have to evolve 6 times to be sure to get the optimal but it feels much more safe. Sign...
Anyone agrees?

Yeah it's hard for Nite man 2/6 are really good movesets 1/6 is pretty solid (which you got). That's why evolving Nite is always so frustrating lol. This rationale can also be applied for Machops, but they're common Pokemon so it's not as big a deal. Keep it up man! You'll get a DT/O or H on your next evolution :) I can sense it.
If you guarantee non-repetitive movesets then it will make it very difficult to get multiple mons with the ideal moveset.
The same function that would work for some, would work against other.
That is, to get 2 mons of the 'ideal' moveset you guarantee to need to evolve at least 7 and possibly as many as 12.
Just the other side of the same coin.
Probability of not getting the 1 out of 6 moves is 5/6. Probability of not getting the 1 out of 6 moves after trying N evolutions is (5/6)^N.
5/6 >> (5/6)^N if N is large.
The larger N is, the higher probability that you'll get the moveset you want.
Law of large numbers guarantees after you evolve an infinite number of times, you will have the moveset you want.
Niantic is looping: players work hard to gamble, after a long time there is a success, then move rebalance, previous nest movesets are useless. It is amazing that some people still enjoy this process, even when they have realized it. They just have so much free time and the seem be satisfied of anything, just like babies in kindergarten. What more I can say, just continue. Niantic needs you.
