Is everyone experiencing a serious revive drought?
This was brought up a couple days ago and some people acted like nothing had changed but something did, recently. I'm easily spinning 20-30 pokestops to get one revive. What's up with that?? The only way I can stock up on them at all now is to spin a gym where I have a gold badge.

People acted like it's nothing new because it isn't. The droprate of revives was lowered weeks ago, not recently.
There are some things you can do to fight it:
-Don't let your mons die. Dodge to activate the dodge glitch on charge moves that would kill you, then manually change to next mon. This works if you have plenty of potions but no revives
-Use throwaways. Level 20 raid catches, L30+ evolved mons etc. Anything you can use to do your battles that you won't need to immediately revive afterwards.
-Opt for more high TDO mons. Lugia and Ho-Oh are ideal gym battlers for this purpose.
-Use power ups as revives on good mons you were planning on powering up anyway.
By recently, I meant in the last few weeks. But thanks for confirming that it's a thing and It's not just me.
I understand all of your recommendations, agree with the strategy, and I think that none of them are any fun.
Not a fan or this change. At all. Now I have to sit under a gym for a while just to get my rations.Thought the point was to move around.
Well, to need revives, you need to do something that requires sitting under a gym as well. If you have any kind of a loop with several stops and the gym or several gyms, that's much more efficient than sitting at the gym. The droprate from normal stops is low but it is there.
Forgot to mention that you also frequently gain more revives than spend from lower than tier 5 raids. If you can't spend your daily pass on tier 5, consider doing a tier 2 with throwaways for the revives instead of a tier 3 solo for a likely net loss of revives.
I'm experiencing heavy revive drought, but I thought that was because I simply quit playing the game and stick to raids every now and then.
It has come to the point where I make use of the dodge glitch to avoid fainting out and switching Pokemon. Afterwards I can use potions to heal Pokenon instead of revives.
Ok, I hear ya know. I'm still trying to muscle my way up to compete with the big dogs. Multiple accounts? Just lil ole me over here. I was pretty stoked earlier today that i caught a 100% iv lvl 33 Yanma. Hooray for me. Big picture tho, you have to break some eggs to level up, and that requires a healthy supply of revives. I can't keep a top notch level 35 Blissey in a gym for 10 minutes where I'm at.
