Unova and Sinnoh, now it's time for Hoenn to make its grand return!
The Hoenn Celebration Event is the latest step on the way towards the big Kanto Celebration. This time around we can obtain the full set of the Weather Trio, including a special Elite Move on Rayquaza (no, it's not Dragon Ascent yet), and can enjoy the return of another old Community Day move!

- Kyogre and Groudon will be available in five star raids. Catching 2 of either during the event will grant the trainer 10 of their respective candies.
- A special selection of Pokemon will be spawning in the wild
- A special selection of Pokemon will be hatching from 5k eggs collected during the event
- A special selection of Pokemon will be available from field research tasks
- A special selection of Pokemon will be available from raids
- A special Collection Challenge will be available, requiring players to capture a specific set of pokemon
- A timed research line will be available during the event, with the final prize being Rayquaza that knows the Elite Move Hurricane. This Rayquaza can be shiny.
- Metang evolved into Metagross during the event will be able to learn Meteor Mash
- A free bundle of Remote Raid Passes will be available

We’re excited to announce that Hoenn will be the next region featured in our countdown celebration leading up to Pokémon GO Tour: Kanto!

Features
- Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Taillow, Loudred, Nosepass, Aron, Meditite, Roselia, Carvanha, Numel, Baltoy, and more will be appearing more frequently in the wild. If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny Aron!
- The following Pokémon will be hatching from 5 km Eggs: Skitty, Aron, Corphish, Lileep, Anorith, Bagon, and Beldum.
- Enjoy event-exclusive Field Research tasks that reward Stardust and lead to encounters with Pokémon such as Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Aron, Plusle, Minun, and Wailmer.
- The following Pokémon will be appearing in raids.
- Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Ralts, Aron, and Bagon will be appearing in one-star raids.
- Breloom, Mawile, Grumpig, Spinda, and Absol will be appearing in three-star raids.
- Kyogre and Groudon will be appearing in five-star raids.
- Complete the Hoenn-themed Collection Challenge during the event by collecting Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Nincada, Nosepass, Aron, Plusle, Minun, and Bagon to receive three Silver Pinap Berries, XP, and an Incense. Head on over to the Today View to track your progress!
- Evolve Metang (the evolved form of Beldum) during the event to get a Metagross that knows the previously Community Day–exclusive attack Meteor Mash!
- Event-exclusive Timed Research will be available! Complete the Hoenn-themed Timed Research tasks to earn the following rewards.
- Catch two Kyogre to earn 10 Kyogre Candies.
- Catch two Groudon to earn 10 Groudon Candies.
- Catch 30 Pokémon to earn 30 Poké Balls.
- Complete all the Timed Research tasks to encounter a Rayquaza that knows the exclusive Charged Attack Hurricane, as well as earn 3,000 XP and a Silver Pinap Berry. If you’re extremely lucky, you might encounter a Shiny Rayquaza!
- A free bundle featuring three Remote Raid Passes to help you challenge Kyogre and Groudon will be available in the in-game shop from Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. to Monday, January 25, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. PST (GMT −8).
