Togekiss new charge as defender

Hi guys, I have my togekiss with hidden power(flying) and dazzing charge. As an defender, I’m considering to buy more charge move slot for new fire move to counter steel attacker. Anyone think it’s a good idea? I don’t know how it will perform with two charge move as a gym defender?

Only problem is, Flamethrower is slow and easy to dodge, so the best reaction you'll get (if it hits) is:

"Hey, that guy wasted 100k stardust on getting that move! Sucks to be him, because I have 5 more Metagross anyway."

Unlocking the second move for Togekiss costs half as much, but a valid point otherwise. 😋

I think the point is to force you to have to dodge, possibly hit you, take out your Pokemon, waste your time and potions healing Pokemon. The whole purpose of defense is to waste as much of the attackers time as possible. Any Pokemon is viable in gym battles, so it was a waste to Max 6 Metagross.

Besides, one day you may pvp with that trainer, switch to Metagross thinking “muhaha, die like a pig” and get melted because you thought he wouldn’t waste dust and candy beyond dazzling gleam.

Sadly, if your defender has two charge attacks that would fill up at the same time, the gym AI will pick one at random to use. It won't prioritize attacks that would be better against the attacker. It may occasionally surprise an attacker, assuming your Mon isn't low motivation and gets KO'd before it can get a charge move off. But that's about it. So overall, probably not worth the investment.
