Bye to most solo raids?

"Niantic have detailed the upcoming Raid and move damage changes. For Raids, in order to rebalance it to stop certain Pokémon being able to be defeated solo, Raid Health will increase for Tier 3, 4 and 5 Raid Bosses." (Serebii.net)

Now, this is just speculation but, the way I think it's going to be, they'll increase Tier 3, 4 and 5 Bosses HP a 50%.
Tier 3: 3.000 => 4.500
Tier 4: 7500 => 11.250
Tier 5: 12.500 => 18.750

With this, some T3's will be soloable (I think). Tier 4 is an impossible territory once again. And with Tier 5's Deoxys attack-form will be still soloable cause it's misserable defense.

Thoughts?

Niantic have made mistakes, but a 50% buff is ridiculous. You aren't giving them enough credit here.
All T3's SHOULD remain soloable, though some will be harder than others.
MOST T4's should not be soloable, but I suspect that finding a real squishy T4 boss could still result in a soloable raid.

I think the real goal here was to make it so that Deoxys A is no longer soloable. Why bother making EX raids a big thing when your raid boss is as frail and easy to beat as a weedle? The solution: Make bosses tougher, but you don't need to go overboard with it. Just make Deoxys A a duo raid minimum, and then when Deoxys D comes out youll need to 6 man him.

Many t3 can be done in about half the time right now. A 50% incease would only make a few (Claydoll, Jolteon, Flareon?) impossible in neutral weather.

Again, the 50% buff it's just speculation! All T3's should be soloable. I'm glad now they'll be a good challenge like the good ol' days.
Deoxys is a sad but unique case because it has 46 defense. Even with a 75% HP Increase, you can still solo it.

I'm not going to get bent out of shape about it until we see the actual numbers. I wonder if T5 will see a larger relative buff compared to T4. As it stands the two tiers are indistinguishable in terms of raid difficulty, one just has a longer clock.

Something else has changed. Alola Marowak was in 4-raid 20190, now 19522. Decreased and not increased. Need more information.

That's interesting! Maybe they've changed something else. Did you noticed something else different? (Timer, damage output?)

Sure the poster saw the A-Mar in a nearby gym from home and never considered battling it. Well, I'm gonna check on dummy accounts whether Palkia has DM. Unless there is a crowd ready to go...skipping it

Even more amazing! After 15 minutes another Alola Marowak raid began. With 21385 CP. Both raids are going now at the same time as a different CP :))

So they've increased! By the looks of it, they're HP has been increased by a 5%. (At least T4s.)

Tier 5's would be tier 6s....Deoxys defense is going to be a nightmare.

It's being reported that T3, T4, and T5 raids all received a 20% HP buff.

T3: 3000 => 3600
T4: 7500 => 9000
T5: 12500 => 15000

Nothing as extreme as OP theorized, but enough to bump T4's away from solo-ability. Deoxys-A can still be soloed, though it is slightly tougher to do so.

20% boost to health, 14% additional boost from SE damage change. What change does this make to solo Tier 3s, specifically cases like Shuckle or Claydol?

SE multiplier went from 1.4 to 1.6, that is 14% increase while raids are now across the board 20% more difficult.

However when you hit double SE, you hit 30 something % more than before. So that still makes those raids easier

Honestly, I think this seems a pretty fair compromise. Single weak mon are slightly harder while double weak are slightly easier.

Oh, he meant the SE boost. I thought he was saying there was an additional change where SE moves from raid bosses specifically dealt more damage on top of the past changes. Never mind.

Bet they did this so Ray couldn't be soloed by the mammoth about to come out.
