What are your favorite fun pokemon?

With the gift of PVP, and the 2nd charge move, we now have a use for lower cp pokemon with investment costs. What are some of your favorite investments with the new changes? I have these couple of guys that need a 3rd partner. I didn't get a shiny Venusaur :(

Typhlosion is one of my new favorites too. (Something I never thought I would say a few months ago.) I use mine in Ultra league, and it's a beast. Mine has the same moves.

Typhlosion is very cool in PvP, but I feel screwed by Niantic.

As before early PvP announcements in late December there was completely no information on the 1500CP boundary (and I find Great League to be the most fun), the only CD Pokemon that I actually ended up with below the cap is a shiny Charizard.

I dearly miss Franzy Plant Meganium and, thought to a lesser extent, the Blast Burn Meganium. I also miss not having Last Resort secondary on Umbreon.

Niantic, you suck at informing people.

I regrettably don't have infinite dust and thus haven't invested for secondary charge moves on many fun pokemon. When I battle with them, I don't care that much about winning so not having the second charge is ok.

Some fun pokemon that I have bought second charge moves for:
Buneary P/HB/FP
Raichu TS/TP/BB
Beedrill PJ/XS/AA

At least Shelgon, Dragonair, Gardevoir, Mantine, Tauros, Kangaskhan, Weezing, A-Sandslash, A-Dugtrio, Celebi, Girafarig, Delcatty, Donphan, Chimecho are on my list of pokemon I'd really like to get the second move for on great league but can't justify yet.

My son likes Beedrill for whatever reason and his pj/xs is annoying with the quick charging charge move.

I was initially surprised by how good it was, PJ is a good fast move and XS charges fast, the typing is also interesting. Now it seems to be an actually playable pokemon in Twilight cup.

Interesting list. I see you mention Donphan. I just bought one for mine and got Heavy Slam to complement Earthquake. Not sure whether to keep it or change to Rough Play. Neither has STAB, but HS at least is a double bar charge. What do you intend using your for?

C/EQ/PR would be my choice. Counter is broken and STAB EQ is a strong move that charges fast off of Counter. PR to threaten dragons and Umbreon. The moveset is what drew me to be interested in Donphan even though mono ground isn't a great typing and its stat distribution is far from optimal.

Now it also has the option of Mud Slap:

'232 Donphan: Mud-Slap - Donphan currently lacks a Ground-type Fast Attack, so Mud-Slap will fit it nicely.'

What do you think about that? Would it load the charge moves even quicker?

Indeed. I'm not a fan with how Niantic handled Chansey and Blissey and nerfed so many innocent pokemon alongside them by making their moves suck.

I will always love Magikarp.

This one pisses a lot of my friends off. When I battle my brother, the sigh I hear come from the other side of the room makes my heart warm.

I love BoltBeam Chan but I wouldn't rate it as "fun" because I think it's actually really good. I've had one sweep through a full HP Altaria and a full HP Blastoise after I cleared the opponent's shields. Two of my friends are even bigger fans, they both have 3 Hitmonchans with different move combinations for GL.

For Ice+Fire punching, Dusclops is much better (way better stats, not vulnerable to Flying), and Fire+Electric can't into Dragons, so is not that good of a combo.

Dusclops doesn't have Counter and I haven't really seen anyone use it but judging by its pure stats it probably is a better fire/ice puncher. I don't like fire+electric either, but if you have a hard read that the opponent isn't bringing Altaria (or I guess Flygon), but instead Azu and a steel type or something like that I guess it could be useable.

Personally I've never seen any point in running anything other than BoltBeam, but I'm not one to judge the preferences of my friends.

That's a great one. I actually have one that I caught at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas going to an MMA fight. Always thought that was some funny luck.

I put a second move on this guy as a baby, I’ll have to see if he’s any good.
