Machamp and Dragonite dilemma

For ages my go to Machamp is my level 40 karate chop/cross chop Machamp. He has been a personal favorite and his performance was good enough to justify keeping his legacy moves. Of course with PVP they decided to give another F U to karate chop by making counter stupid good. Is it finally time to TM away karate chop? I do have another karate chop Machamp, but he has the legacy, but inferior, submission.

And then there is Dragonite. Like counter, dragon breath is stupid good, and I personally love dragon breath. My favorite combo is dragon breath/dragon claw, which is why I like Latios, but being a legendary, he is expensive. Here the the Dragonites and the question...
Level 40 dragon breath/outrage
Level 35ish dragon breath/dragon claw but with only an IV in the low 60s
I also have a level 40 dt/dm for what it's worth.

With dragon breath being so great, is there any reason to put hurricane on either, or couple dragon claw with outrage, and maybe power him up?

Thanks!

I personally won't. It's still good for the legacy novelty. Say you TMed KC away. Now you have counter+cross chop. What good is that for either?

A better idea will be to give it the extra move so you get KC+DP. If I remember correctly, that's listed as 97% damage output on pokegenie, so you're not losing a whole lot.

This.

Also, the IVs on that DB/DC dragonite won't matter - dragons are meh in master League

So is there a point in doing anything to a Dragonite at all? Which pokemon are people normally using?

Legacy Dragonite, Giratina and Latios are commonly rated top tier in master league. DB/DC users are extremely good.

My legacy Dragonite would like to have a word... and an easy battle, fight me

Counter + Cross Chop would be devastating in PvP. Counter's damage and energy generation combined with Cross chop's lower energy requirement and DpE almost as good as Dynamic Punch. Been trying to find a Cross Chop Machamp for just that reason, can imagine it wreaking havoc in the Ultra League. CP too low to be a factor in Master League, though.

Machamp really isn't that relevant in master league that you should worry about it. It gets absolutely destroyed by most of the good pokemon in the league, it's just a very niche counter to Tyranitar specifically.

As for Dragonite, I don't see much point in getting rid of DB. It's less good in raids, but how often will it matter? Not often unless you start working your way towards a duo team. For PvP, DB/DC Dnite is the only Dnite worth running, but I wouldn't max the level 35 solely for that unless you're very interested in masters.

I'd keep katate chop and just buy the second charge move to preserve the second legacy move. I haven't seen many match ups where fighting has the advantage in, as most of the heavy hitters in all leagues seem to resist fighting (for masters the big ones are the dragonite, giratina, latios lugia and occasionally mewtwo)

I, at least personally, dont see much being lost if you dont have hurricane, Outrage/dragon claw on a dragonite means it will be great for both raids and PvP. Movesets are much more a factor in PvP as well, so its iv's being in the 60's isnt a huge issue. As for hurricane specifically, it never synergizes with dragonite's fast move in a way that benefits hurricane, so dragon tail/breath will always deal neutral damage to everythng hurricane's effective to and there seemingly are not many of these in raids or PvP.
