Shiny Psyduck gone for good?

Are you still able to get shiny Psyduck (just that the amount of Psyduck around is smaller, obviously) or is it gone now that the event has ended?

Once a shiny is introduced to the game, it's there forever. Rates will, however, be standard - 1/450 ish from wild spawns.

Usually. But there have been weird cases recently like Krabby or Magnemite where nobody could prove seeing the shiny for a month or two.

There was also the week after the Winter 2018 event ended where nobody encountered a shiny Cyndaquil or Misdreavus.

Yes, they did. Brazilian Safari Zone event came with Shiny Psyduck, like how the other Safari Zones introduced Roselia or Plusle/Minun.

Have you not noticed extra Psyduck spawns over the weekend?

I admit the Hoenn event spawns still took priority but still, they announced the Safari Zone in game and historically one of the featured Pokemon from Safari Zones has had its shiny released to the world in increased numbers that weekend. Dortmund had Roselia, Go Fest 2018 had Plusle/Minun, Yokosuka had Wingull, Tainan had Pinsir, and now Porto Alegre had Psyduck.
