Between when you used “Jiggly” and now Niantic has implemented or expanded a naughty word list. These words you now can’t use and it’s caught a bunch of innocuous ones. I have a 97%IV Houndoom female. Houndoom’s color pattern is close to my jack russell cross’. Her name is Button and so I tried to rename the Houndoom to Button. According to Niantic, the word “Button” is inappropriate text.
Legacy Naming Convention - "Jiggly"
Ok so this is just something I stumbled upon. I typically name higher IV mon by their name plus their IV. For example, "Ivysaur 87." However there is a 12 character limit for names, so if the name, then a space, plus the IV number is too long, I simply abbreviate the name and add the IV.
So for all my Jigglypuff I tyipically abbreviated "Jiggly", then space, and then the IV. I caught a higher IV one the other day and went to rename it with this same convention however I got the error message: "This name contains inappropriate text." I have 5 Jigglypuff still named "Jiggly" plus the IV, however I cannot rename my other Jigglypuffs, or any other Pokemon for that matter, "Jiggly."
So that's my useless finding, try it for yourself. Try to name a Pokemon "Jiggly". Somehow I have some legacy-named Jigglypuff for whatever that is worth. If I change their name, they will never be "Jiggly" again.

It gets worse. You can't even name a pokemon "Jigglypuff" unless it is an actual Jigglypuff. If you want to name your Wigglytuff "Jigglypuff," it won't let you. Same goes for Lickitung, Shroomish, and maybe others I'm missing. So Niantic has managed to create a censor so harsh that official game terms are considered inappropriate.
