Toxicroak in PVP
I don't know if this is just me, maybe getting lucky with match-ups, but I have two Toxicroaks and they are amazing in PVP. When I battle my brothers/friends, the annoyance my Toxicroaks cause really humors me.
I have a 93% IV at 1473 CP, which knows Poison Jab and Sludge Bomb, which is great against any fairy types. Obviously this Toxicroak is used in Great League.
Next I have an 82% IV that is at 2245, and it knows Counter and Dynamic Punch. Seeing that when Toxicroak is at level 40, it's max CP at 100% IV is just under 2500(2488), making it perfect for Ultra League.
Toxicroak is kinda glassy, but with the two, two charge TM's, you'll get off your charged TM quickly and your opponent will either need to use a shield or most likely lose their pokemon. (If the charge is SE against the opponent) Toxicroak has a good ATK with decent STA, but its DEF isn't good. So again, it's glassy, but I have seen great use for mine, especially with the great movesets that are available for Toxicroak.
I know that there are certain pokemon that are really strong in PVP, but I like to try to have variety in my lineups. I'm kind of tired of seeing the same pokemon all the time and I like to surprise my opponents. I'm still trying to build up decent PVP teams. I'm looking at investing 6 Pokemon the I use regularly for each league.
If anyone has any other views on this I'd love to listen.

I’ve made costly investments into only certain legendaries like Mewtwo(with SB), Raikou, ect, some of the top tier attackers that are legendaries I’ve made investments in. But I also have extra Raikous, those are under 1500. I could have 3 Raikous as my great league line up, or all 3 Enteis as my lineup. We don’t see any fun in having all legendaries in every single league. We like to try to make use of other pokemon because we find it fun to try to mix it up.
I don’t have a lot of the legendairies that were in raids because I stopped playing for about a year and a half and only recently got back into POGO, but in the time I’ve come back, I already have a decent supply of legendaries, a lot of which I invested in. (If I felt it was necessary to)
Also, a lot of people purposely don’t invest a lot into Pokemon just so they can use them in certain PVP leagues. So my group of friends are not the only ones who don’t invest into pokemon that can be used in PVP in the state they’re in when we catch them. Example, Attack Forme Deoxys is only useful in Great League as a Glass Cannon sweeper when the opponent runs out of shields. There is no point in investing into that pokemon any further, seeing that there is already a use for it at the state you catch it in.
So I don’t exactly get why you somewhat mocked what I was saying as if I sounded dumb, because I know people purposely don’t invest for the reasons I listed above.
Almost all legendaries really aren't that good in the great league : / Not the hard to knock'em down.
The goal isn't to have all legendaries in every fight, but to have a variety of strong teams. You sound like you're omitting them due to a lack of resources (it's cool if you stopped playing for a year, I'm not giving you lip for that), but I hope you're not asking other people not to use their legendaries which they've invested in just to make it easier for yourself.
I'll never tell people to not use legendaries in battles. I said most of my friends suggest it. I could care less what pokemon others use, I'll still battle. I just don't like using legendaries in leagues other than Master League. I saw PVP as a way to begin to use pokemon that normally don't see much use in gyms or raids. Some of my favorite pokemon aren't that great of pokemon in PoGo or the main series (Primeape is an example), but with certain movesets, I feel the "useless" pokemon because useful in the PVP aspect.
A lot of my legendaries are too strong to be used in either Great or Ultra league, because I prefer to invest into them heavily so they're even better in Raids. Example, my Mewtwo with Shadow Ball is lvl 30.5(3551 CP) and I'm level 33, so that is pretty high for me. Another is my Raikou that is at level 30, and I use it a lot for the Kyogre raids.
I don't care whether or not my opponent uses legendaries, I dont have a problem if they do use them, I just personally don't use them that often in PVP.
