Shadow Ball Mewtwo for Metagross Raid??

Metagross is extremely resistant to Psychic attacks, making Mewtwos fast moves nothing but energy generators. Probably the damage done by Shadow Ball alone is not enough to compete with better options.

Pokebattler pulls these numbers just from my team (all at L40) in neutral weather, no friendship bonus and unknown moveset:

FS/Ovh Moltres = 391.5s TTW / 13 deaths
SC/SB Gengar = 418.3s TTW / 31 deaths
B/Cr Ttar = 429.4s TTW / 14 deaths
FS/BB Charizard = 444.7s TTW / 17 deaths
PC/SB Mewtwo = 451.4s TTW / 16 deaths

Looking at the numbers, if even Charizard is better, then it means that NVE fast move really hurts Mewtwo.

Shadow ball mewtwo's good, but the thing is, because of how much resistance it has to psycho cut, it allows things like legacy gengar, and Tyranitar outshine it significantly more because their effectiveness on fast moves, and leaves PC as purely energy gain, that hinders it, its for a similar reason why darkrai will out DPS mewtwo agaisnt psychic types.

From what ive seen in on pokebattler, its time to win isnt much higher than Heatran, only by about 15 seconds, and isnt viable for duos

Though to be fair, without weather boost, only a team of 6 maxed out moltres are sufficient for a neutral weather duo when at best friends due to metagross' extreme bulk, its low comparative HP balanced things out, though the massive HP of raid bosses turns metagross into Togetic 2.0

Pokebattler ranks it at #13 TTW against averaged Metagross movesets. Not a bad counter by any means.
