Have base catch rates of t5s changed ?

Since giratina i have been noticing that the raid bosses seem to be taking more balls to catch. My golden raz supply is dwindling fast. My experience seems to be echoed by others in my raid groups.

It could be that the ffircles have been smaller so targeting great throws rather then excellants. But i am not sure that is it.

Have others experienced the same ?
Has anyone relooked at what the base catch rate is lately?

Its making my sons child ptc account almost unplayable, which is just added disappointment to all the content he is locked out of.

Really? I caught both of my giratinas with the first ball, and first ball with one of my heatrans, and the others were caught in the first three balls.

I think the circles are smaller. Ever since Giratina I need a lot of GRB. My catch rates are fine though.

Thats what i mean, still mostly getting them just needing more throws, so going through more GR. The other problem i have is my sons account which can't friend and hence doesn't get friend balls.

Seems more easy to me these days, but doing approximately only 1 raid boss per week, so might be biased.

I'm pretty sure your "GRB reserves dwindling fast" problem is caused by Niantic nerfing the drop rates since Giratina

This - GRBs are becoming a slightly more scarce resource. I think it has something to do with gym campers, wanting to make that gamestyle less sustainable.

Honestly they need to redo the golden raz with the gyms. Maybe one per Pokémon per hour or something. Something so that you can keep the gym motivated, but not battle a gym wanting to take down the gym. If someone wants to take a gym down, it’s going to happen. Delaying it just makes the game frustrating. For both parties.

Once I have one, i generally stop spending GRB. 1/3 before i got Giratina, ended up 2/4, 1/2 for Cresselia, 2/2 so far on Heatran. Heatran being duoable is a big motivation to do more. Only the first Heatran took me into friendship balls.

Do a few Tier 3s once a while and pinap/nanab the pokemon. It will replenish your GRBs quick.

Or use silver pinaps (quests giving them out on the reg) and save most of your GRB for feeding.

I had a good catch rate through cresselia even without using GRBs but horrible with Heatran. But my timing is off with this guy

I was 21/21 catching Cresselia, 8/9 catching Heatran...however, I also have only 12 GRB left. I always get 16-18 balls, each one can zap quite a bit. 37/45 catching Giratina...did more pinap on those.
