On Mismagius and Magnezone

1. Given that in the current Tier Defenders list, Machamp's new stats and Metagross's new attack played a significant role on shaping it. I was wondering, how come Mismagius did not make it in (considering the advantage it has against those two)?

2. Could Magnezone be the best investment for PVP among the electric types, given its multiple resistances and that he is one of the few that can learn a non-electric charge move (to use as 2nd attack)?

Mismagius doesnt have the good defensive stats to be on the list, Gengar holds a similar type advantage over them, but its defense it too low to make an impact. That anem metagross absolutely shreds it.

Magnazone likely would be the best PvP electric type, having better tankiness than Electivire with not much less DPS, and being a lot cheaper than raikou, and having many more resistances.

It does very well as a hard machamp stopper. Posessing the same triple fighting resistance as gengar, thats a x.244 damage, but with significantly more bulk.. Its the only pokemon that puts a HARD stop to machamp and isnt weak to metagross

No pokemon's perfect, everything has weaknesses. that includes mewtwo, tyranitar, dradonite and every other pokemon

Of course. I’m not arguing that Magnezone is a bad choice for PVP. I’m simply not sure if it’s better than Electivire or Raikou based on stats or resistances, and I don’t know how much Flash Cannon will help.

Resistances are extremely important in PvP and TDO is more important than DPS. Magnezone has a better stat spread than either Raikou or Electivire for the cp-limited leagues and should be much better than either.

Any 2x weakness is now a major liability. Gyarados in gyms are a laugh now, for instance.

They always were, even at the original 1,25 STAB and 1,25 SE modifiers. No other frequent gym defender from the old system was so easy to take down with commonly available pokemon (Jolteon).

Metagross is weak to ghost, It's only Mismagius' charged moves are more offensively oriented and are easy to dodge.
