Has anyone noticed a new PvP glitch?

Apparently Pokemon in Alolan form are treated like they have the same type as their Kantonian forms. I’ve experienced this 3 times:
1. Alolan Raichu takes neutral damage from Shadow Ball.
2. Alolan Ninetales resists Fire Blast.
3. Alolan Marowak is weak to Ice Beam.
Anyone else experienced this before?

It could be a visual glitch, but I’m not sure.
Actually, all above 3 were found in training battles, not real PvP.

Battling Blanche's Ultra team, her Alolan Ninetails resisted fire moves, but Glalie was weak to them, and Lapras neutral, as one would expect. Took two Blast Burns and some Fire Spin to take A. Ninetails down, but Glalie collapsed like wet tissue paper. So it looks like the numbers are reflecting the messages we get during the battle.

I did a further battle against A. Ninetails using a Ludicolo with Razor Leaf and Hydro Pump. The Hydro Pump was SE against A. Ninetails. (Tried with Gyarados, but the fast attacks took A. Ninetails out before I could get a HP off).

Seems pretty clear that Blanche's Alolan Ninetails is weak to water and resists fire. Will file bug report.

Well duh, she's a team leader. Do you think she got that position fighting fair and square? Sometimes you must bend the rules to rise to the top!

Yes, it is a bug. The Alola pokemon currently seem to have the stats and types of their regular Kanto forms.
