How relevant will these new Pokemon be?

Here's my outlook.

Azelf - With Confusion and Future Sight, it completely outclasses Alakazam, becoming the 2nd best Psychic attacker in the game, but still cant hold a candle to Mewtwo.

Toxicroak: Will be a decent Fighting attacker, but let me remind you that its outclassed by the nerfed Hariyama, and Blaziken, and Hariyama is very easy to obtain early. It will be okay as a Poison attacker, but its outclassed by Roserade and to a lesser extent Gengar. Depending on how cheap it is, it may not be viable at all.

Munchlax: It'll do alright in gyms, but it'll probably hurt opponents as much as Chansey does.

Azelf will be a great Psychic attacker. Mewtwo will remain the best psychic pokemon forever(as of Gen7) but Azelf will also stand the test of time, and remain the second best psychic type even after the later Gens are released.

Even if there's one pokemon that outclasses the others of it's type, that doesn't mean that you should only focus on that pokemon. I've played since launch and only have 2 fully powered up Mewtwos. I will personally welcome Azelf into my psychic team with open arms. And I'm sure that players who were unable to grab a Mewtwo will too.

Azelfs somewhere between mewtwo and alakazam, not as good as mewtwo, but better than alakazam, but significantly more expensive.

RIP toxicroak, has a great move combo, but theres a lot of good fighting types in the game.

Munchlax might be an ok (and very amusing) defender, its got body slam, and more CP than chansey, with the 9th best HP in the game, also low demotivation rate.

Bonus about Munchlax - if it follows the rest of the babies it'll learn a second move at the 10k dust/25 candy cost.

I think that Toxicroak may have had some role in the lower PvP leagues when I was looking through, possible a good counter to something. As someone already said, Munchlax will be nice if the it can learn a second move at a discount price.

As for Snover, nothing exciting, really.

Uxie looks to be decent in Ultra League. Maxes right around 2500 and has nice bulk.
