Time to remake your Battle Teams!

I just tried to do a raid this morning and my battle teams were gone!! So before you go into your next raid, make sure you build your teams. And FYI, I hear you can not level up a Pokémon that is in a battle team.

Yep, there's a new screen for party management.

Power Up does not work for Pokemon in parties at this time. (I Just tested it to be sure.)

DEATH AND DESTRUCTION TO PREMADE PARTIES. HOW CHILLING!

IT's game over man, game over, what are we gonna do? What are we gonna do now!?

I dunno, maybe just remake our teams. Though the unable to power up thing is a bit annoying, i hope they make a way to switch it off.

I suspect they are working the kinks out. Eventually, powering up while in a team will be fine, and if your pokemon is in a CP capped league team, a warning will come up if it exceeds the cap on powering up. Until then, they are just blocking power-ups for team pokemon.

Further, when swiping to the left, where the teams were, there's now a "Gyms and Raids" icon, and the teams we form go there. I suspect that there will be a "PvP" icon soon (when they turn it on) which will allow the building of PvP teams and some of the battling features.

Wonder if it will go live at 4:00 PM EST today or tomorrow? We'll see.

This explains why I couldn't power up my Gengar.

I assume the deletion of battle parties has to do with the updating of the party system to include PvP teams alongside raid teams. I downloaded the .apk earlier in the week/last week/whenever it was made available and it was one of the first things I noticed after the long overdue new loading screen.

Yep. Updated battle party system with PVP parties is probably incompatible with how parties were saved before. Can't power up pokemon in a party so you don't accidentally boost them out of their league and/or to avoid any bugs that might happen when you try.

Smart in theory, but I feel like there's other ways to go about this. The power up window showing what the CP will change to is a good first step. Other ideas that would be less clunky:

- Gray out the power up button if the Pokemon is in a league that powering up would remove it from
- Display a message stating the Pokemon cannot be powered up due to it being in a party

The fact that you can't power it up and there's no message stating why made me initially think it was a bug and not a feature. If it is a feature it needs to be refined more.

My teams have gotten wipe out with each of the updates. I thought that was normal and happened to everyone when updating (not saying it’s ok... just not unexpected)
