For the Legendary raid why is that I haven't seen a Deoxys raid yet but I've only seen Cresselia raids?

For the past month and a bit I have only seen Cresselia no Deoxys raid. Any reason? Is it based on region or am I just unlucky with when I go out for raids.

Deoxys is an exclusive, invite-only EX Raid. You have to raid at an EX eligible gym (they have tags in the upper right when viewing them) and then there's a chance that you will receive an EX pass for a Deoxys raid.

You need to raid at EX possible gyms, thats all you need to do. Or get invited by someone whose an ultra or best friend who got an EX pass

Ex possible gyms have a little EX tag in the top right corner like how the sponsored pokestops or pokestops with research you've completed that day are.

Why did someone downvote this?

Actually why do I almost always see a downvote on your posts?

Dont know, personally dont really care, probably that Ex-77 or someone else whose got something against me for the opinions ive had.

I have noticed that too. And it happens almost immediately after he posts. Almost like some butthurt rat kid wrote a script that would automatically downvote Maxis' posts. I wonder who would be petty enough to do something like that... huh, I bet you can't guess who comes to mind.

Hi milkz, I added another down vote because you seemed so offended by the other one. Let me explain, please. The poster's question is honest enough BUT so very very basic that it probably would annoy many of this site's more active users. Whoever posted this does not not seem to understand what an EX Raid is and could have found out that very very very basic info in 1 to 2 minutes of internet research. I don't have a problem with Noobs asking simple questions but this is really not a forum for people who want to avoid a basic google search. This question is really no more "learned" than if the poster had asked "what is CP"? or "why are some Mons super effective against others?"

You're welcome, a lot of people dont know much about Ex raids if they haven't been to one or know someone who has. It's a bit wierd how they work.

Adding to what others have said, EX eligible gyms are usually sponsored location or in parks.

I get an EX invitation every week...I don't go though: usually 12pm to 2pm Tues-Wed or Thurs. It does allow me to invite another player. I pick people that are retired/have a home business/telecommute otherwise they would probably skip it, too

Thank you for your diligence. I work graveyard shift and get a lot of invites to midday ex raids. Someday I'll power up a Deoxys, and when I do, it wont require RC.

What? Are you brand new to pokemon Go or are you trolling? I would think anyone who knows the game well enough to find this website, have an account, and ask a question would have a crude understanding of EX raids. Moreover, a cursory stroll through this website explains EX raids in detail in a number of places.

How do you even know about Deoxys if you've never seen one? Someone told you about it or had one? You never saw one in a gym.

I guess if you're really that obtuse then maybe you are literally without so much as a hint of a clue regarding EX raids.

Sometimes a little bit of effort on your behalf isn't anywhere near as obnoxious as asking any ol question that comes to your mind. You asked this question on a website devoted to disseminating information. Use it! Don't just ask questions because you're too lazy to find out for yourself.

Whose effort was more misplaced - him asking a Q/A forum about deoxys raids, or you writing a long, angry response about an innocent question about deoxys raids?

You confused anger with frustration. And it wasn't an innocent question about Deoxys. It was someone who didn't bother to look for the answer first before asking. Because if the OP did, he would have found his answer. In fact, it would have taken less time to look for yourself than to wait for others to do it for you. Alas, this was not the path chosen.

This website is an invaluable wellspring of all things Pokemon Go. Factual information is categorized on this website in an easy-to-find format. There are even guides specifically (and painstakingly) written for people who are new to any of Pokemon Go's more core concepts. And even most of the obscure ones.

Forgoing the elementary amount of effort necessary to find this information and lazily asking for someone else to do it for you is nothing short of pathetic.

Give a man a fish he eats a meal, teach a man to fish and he can eat for life. ...Sometimes you just have to do the work.
