Their catch rate, as they stand out is 0%. Which means that no matter how many grb, excellent and curves you throw they WILL flee.

This event is a disaster and this further proves Niantic escaping the boundaries of shit.

can those two even spawn ?

They are available from raids. DO NOT bother with them they are a waste of your time. There are already numerous reports on silphroad that people got 14 balls and grb curved great/excellent all of them and they still flee.

You can stil do the raids, but you wont be able to catch them (most likely, ive heard someplace say theres like a 1% catch chance, and arent affected by berries). if you've got a pass and need to burn it, espeon isnt a bad burn option, but i've heard even with maxed out machamp/brelloom, umbreon is down to the wire difficultly because its large defense.

I have to ask given your... tendencies on this site and lack of any cited evidence: Is the catch rate actually 0% or did you just have 2-3 in a row flee on you?

It's in the GAME MASTER file. They don't have a catch rate assigned to them. If a pokemon has no catch rates, it is automatically treated as a catch rate of 0.

0 multiplied by a million is still 0.

he is correct. The catch rate in Game Master file is 0%, which could possibly change from the server without any need for update, but according to reports from people trying those raids it hasn't changed. So your only chance to get them is by critical catch.

I suppose Niantic will realize they ***ed up and change it soon (possibly tomorrow?) but I wonder if they extend the event cause of this mistake.

Does the catch rate remain 0 if Espeon/Umbreon is shiny?

Probably not... But till Niantic fixes this bug why raid it all?

I mean with machamp out of the loop and mewtwo being a thing, why raid espeon even if it had a catch chance?

Perhaps you're like me and have a goal of defeating each solo/duo boss once?

There is actually a small (~1%) chance of catching them due how Niantic treats the value 0.

I’ve been ignoring Espeon and Umbreon for 21+ months. Used them less than 10 times combined. I got a lot of Mewtwo early on and for some reason had 5 Shadowball level 30 M2 til I found my first one to max.

Getting lots of Mewtwos doesn't help if you can't spare the rare candy. Good for you if you could I guess, but a lot of us had to resort to Espeons to solo Machamp initially.

Regardless of all that, I've caught exactly half as many Eevee as Pidgey. Caught 25% more Rattata than Eevee. Somebody not catching a level 20 Eevee evolution not an ELE.

What is eevee?

I raided an Espeon twice (two different accounts), and had sort of a strange experience. The first time, on my main account, I failed to catch the CP 1772 boss with 12 balls, and even with a golden razz, the inner circle remained deep red in color.

Then, I did the same raid with my daughter’s account, and this time, the inner circle was orange with a golden razz, and I caught the boss on the first throw. However, the Espeon I caught had a CP of 1673 (almost 100 points lower), which should be impossible, since a 10/10/10 L20 Espeon has a CP of 1730. The appraisal puts it in the highest category with a best stat of HP at 13 or 14. My IV calculator says this is not a possible combination, which makes sense. Here is a pic of the Espeon I caught.

Interesting, Niantic played with the Game master to fix the catch rate. Maybe it caused a bug and you got the CP before the rebalance. I suspect that if you power it up once it will sort itself to the right CP. On the other hand, you got a very rare Mon, a pre rebalance raid caught Espeon.

Thanks for the warning. I would still raid them at least once just for the challenge since I'd never keep or waste resources on a level 20 Eevolution anyway

"A disaster"? Aren't you a cute little exploding piece of nonsense? You know what a disaster is? Having you rant here about everything like it's the end of the world. I feel sorry for the people that have to deal with you in real life.
Just write to Niantic support and get any passes refunded, you pissy children. It takes hours at most.
