Why does gengar outdamage everything else, including darkrai?
Yeah i know, gengar has a really high DPS fast and charge move, but the unreleased darkrai also has shadow ball, and i suppose feint attack is not too worse than shadow claw. Not to mention darkrai has 285 atk and mire bulk, so why does gengar out-DPS darkrai in terms of DPS?

I assume you're specifically talking about vs Cresselia?
Comparing their top DPS movesets (Lick/SB for Gengar, Snarl/SB for Darkrai) Gengar has the following to its advantage:
- STAB Shadow Ball
- STAB Lick
- Lick's higher EPS and comparable DPS to Snarl, meaning more Shadow Balls
- Lick's ridiculously low cooldown meaning faster Shadow Balls
Shadow Claw is a similar story only it trades some EPS for quite higher DPS than Snarl, rendering it almost equal to Lick in terms of practical use.
Any you can't dodge specifically, which for battles with multiple people is nearly all of them due to the dodge bug. In solo attempts Gengar is incredible as long as your dodge game is on point.
But in Cresselia's case yes, Gengar's resistance to Moonblast and Aurora Beam being such a weak move means Future Sight is the only one it has to worry about. So long as it gets a couple Shadow Balls of at least it's done its job.
