It's just a model issue. Give it a few months for Niantic to fix it.

It's also the fact the some pokemon (namely the bigger ones) just don't translate to Go very well.

Maybe they'll fix it pretty fast like Ghastly.

No, a couple of months is pretty accurate honestly.
