Ground or Rock Rhyperior?

Seems like it will get outclassed on both fronts, but is not a bad option by any stretch of imagination.

Will you keep your Rhyperiors rock or ground to round out the rest of your teams? A bit of both?

Ground. Got rock covered. Need more ground

got a 100% groudon and missed ttar cd cause of sickness so for me it´s clear.

I'll let them be whatever they want to be. I'm not about to waste a charged TM.

Unless it gets Surf, of course.

Definitely Ground. Rock is eay to cover with even Golems, if missed SD Ttars

Going by sheer numbers, the gap between Ground Rhyperior and Ground Rhydon (8% increased dps, 27.5% increased TDO) is smaller than the gap between Rock Rhyperior and Rock Golem (10% increased dps, 37.5% increased TDO). Difference is probably due to SD, which is a great move.

So yeah, Rhyperior can cover ground and Golem rock (so they both have decent dps, if that's what you meant) but on the other hand rock Rhyperior is a greater improvement to Golem, so it's a tough choice.

I guess I'd wait for an appropriate raid boss to decide. Right now.. maybe if someone is close to soloing Jolteon but needs another strong Ground. Other than that, current raid rotation doesn't need Rock or Ground types

But save for Skarmory all of the tier 3s are either weak to rock or ground. There are more that is weak to Ground but save for Jolteon you don't need ground types on a regular basis.

I went for Rock first but will evolve a Ground too. Even though I have plenty of decent Rock attackers I find rock more useful as a generalist for gym clearance than ground.

For me, rock. I missed T-Tar CD, but i have some good groudons already. i also feel like rock-rhyperior would have more utility over ground-rhyperior because of better moves and its best rock moves arent legacy (unlike T-Tar)

If you dont have a good squad of rock already, like missing out on SD Tyranitar CD, it is worth it, the only downside is it doesnt have much use at the moment. Maybe for A. Marowak in partly cloudy or as generalist.
I am interested in ground personally, but with that movepool, even Groudon dont make me interested. I rather use Machamp for past T5 raid (Registeel) or future raid (Dialga) because i have a lot of battle ready Machamp already.
So in my case, i hold it. But if you wanna evolve it, go ahead.
