What's next for PGo ??

Since I've played since the beginning , I'm wondering what is gonna happen to make this game interesting again ... I mean it was a challenge to find and power up defenders before and find and power up attackers ...and gain xp etx. Now most people are at level 38+ which means no matter how much xp you get now it means nothing ....the game overall has gotten easier and easier and easier to the point of pathetic.
Gyms went from a challenge to a joke .... I'm pretty sure if I signed up today I could amass an army to take down the most powered up gym possible by the weekend ... soon every daily player will be maxed out so what's next?

All I hear is being able to solo a raid as like the only challenge solo a l3v or duo a lv4 ...

And now with this power shift ... challenges like blissey are now way to easy , so there's almost no point on who you put in a gym ...

What also sucks too is back in the first year if you found a dragonite or a snorlax etc...it was pretty exciting ... now I dont really care about anything because its just flooded with high powered pokemon.

Basically what I'm saying I guess is we have all climbed the later of pokemon and are all at the top ... now what?

Just take it easy. This game is not designed for hardcore players. it is a kind of friendly neighborhood kind of game that bring people together, or make people to exercise more.

Well, at least to me the whole point of playing this game is to help me to burn some extra calories by walking a lot. Walking will be a lot more boring without this game.

Just chill out.

... Detective Pikachu hats, right. I forgot we were probably going to get those. I was going to ask what you meant by DEATH and DESTRUCTION, but then I remembered we're getting ANOTHER STUPID PIKACHU HAT Pikachu, and yep, I automatically started to wish DnD on Niantic.

Wait for PvP I guess? Complete the Pokedex as best as you can? Work on having a complete luckydex?

I won't lie that Go doesn't have much in stock for those of us at the higher rungs of the ladder but you could put this question to the main series as well. What happens after the E4? After finishing the Pokedex? After completing your trainer card/passport? Eventually you hit a stopping point where you simply run out of things to do.

By making the game easier Niantic kind of shot the endgame in the foot for those of us looking for a bigger challenge. Soloing T3 raids and duoing T4/T5 ones is about all that's left, and with the rebalance favoring the attackers that may not even be enough anymore.

Non-legendary shiny U6 solos/duos.

Well i aggree its getting easier and more easier. Niantic seem to not pleased seeing some player find a challenge in this game LOL
For me it is time to relax and collecting some stardust now. No more power up. Have all my counter for any raid atleast for every legendary gen 4 and when some gen 1-3 come back. Good enough for 2-5 man legendary raid, i wont be a burden for others even when i am stop powering up my pokemons anymore.
Solo and unique challenge solo T3 and duo T4 been done also, and i am happy to admit that i am not worthy to solo the mighty Shuckle.

Not much.... The friendship bonus pretty much killed the need for having any sort of knowledge.... Now with the rebalancing even unique 6, draft leagues and speed raiding require you to know little or anything .... Do what I do, when a new raid boss comes out figure out your best possible teams raid it a few times, improve it, then go back and raid it again, get your best time and compare it to the word records and see how you stack up .... If you are happy, put the game away till the next special event ( If it interests you ) or leave the game alone till the next new raid Boss..... It’s Niantic’s game and the can nerf it and cater to casual and shiny hunters as much as the want... It’s up to you to find a way to make it interesting

Haha, its true, he isnt a dragon master until the rematch in HGSS (and even then he's got a Charizard which isnt a dragon)

Blissey never was a hard pokemon to beat...it was just the golden razz...

There really isnt an "Endgame" for GO, your endgame is what you want it to be, for some its raid counters to solo/duo/trio/four man raids, others it power up one of each pokemon to level 40, shiny dex, living dex. etc.

I do agree that certain aspects of the game has become way too easy.
Gyms are easy to take down (even before Blissey lost some of it's durability).
XP, which we once had to grind hard to amass is now easy to get (depends on where and how you play).

Yes, I do miss the old days.
We had to work hard for every bit of dust and every XP.
Having an event two months in a row? Unheard of.
Shiny Pokemon? Yeah, I might find one in about a couple of years.

That said, I do also understand why Niantic has made it easier, even if I think they slightly overdid it.
Someone can start today and still quickly reach a level where they can compete. This is partly so that they won't have to feel weak and of little help, but also so that Niantic can get new players to stay. And as a company that is important to them.

I do also feel that Niantic is thinking about new ways to change the game and we do know that they are working on PvP.
Hopefully that will work differently than fighting in gyms. Hopefully they will even change things so that Pokemon get more diverse and adds a strategic part to PvP.

Then again I can understand it if Niantic doesn't want to make things too complicated for young players.
I mean, I already read loads of post from people who complain about how so many doesn't know which Pokemon to use.

I could perhaps write more, but it's way too late.
I'll just add this final bit:

What's next after you reach the top?
Seek new goals.
I've got more than a handful set for myself. When one is reached, a new will emerge.
And if you're tired of those goals and doesn't feel the urge to play, then take a break.
Soon there might be something new in PoGo that might make you want to return.

Raising the level cap might just mean XP over 20 million has some meaning, and the pokemon get a tiny bit tougher (levels 20-30 give about twice the increase that levels 30-40 do, one should expect this trend to continue, so levels 40-50 will be maybe a bump of 24 Cp or so per half level for Rayquaza).

Or, if they are on the ball, raising the level cap will open up new stuff. Like you do a quest and you get the ability to use a CTM to give Kyogre Origin Pulse, or you gain the ability to choose the attack with a CTM (and FTM for Mew), or you get something else interesting.

PvP will also be a new thing, changing the meta in new and interesting ways. Which pokemon will dominate PvP, and how will players scramble to get them?

And of course, there's always stuff we don't predict. In September of 2016, would we have predicted TMs eventually (probably), Gyms (possibly), Community Days, Raid days, Trading (probably), lucky pokemon (probably not), Meltan/Melmetal (no way). I assert that other things we are unlikely to predict will pop up, and change the game, hopefully for the better.
