Another CD disaster. This time in Vietnam.

In Vietnam, we had the Beldum and Gengar days normally, while other parts of APAC had many problems. But this time, it's a disaster here also. One hour passed, and couldn't catch a thing. The only thing that's still working is the white spinning ball of death.

Disaster her in Australia too.

Don't worry, they will reward us by making us dedicate more time to them at a time of their choosing....without 4x stardust

Couldn’t agree more the ONLY reason to go out and play this community day is the satcked stardust

This is why I have time to read posts here rather than playing the game.

Disaster in the whole Asia.

Even players in America can feel the disaster. It has been an hour or so that can hardly spin a stop or catch a thing. We have the feel that something is happening across the ocean and it seems we are right.

What you experienced is standard operating procedure for CD and special raid days in Asia Pacific.
In fairness, there has been 1 or 2 events that went off without a hitch, but all that does is add to the frustration because we know they are capable of getting it right, but persist in getting it very very wrong.

I don't wish it on anyone, but at least you can now empathise with what we go through on a consistent basis

In Singapore, the first hour was terrible; after that, there was only intermittent lag. Managed to meet my stardust goals, but caught only two shiny Cyndaquils and no wonders at all (ended up evolving an 89% hatched months ago).

Thailand also had problems but not as bad as those reporting elsewhere. Niantic extended the event for 2 hours so we probably got a fair day of play. For how many hours did Niantic extend the event elsewhere in Asia?

2 hours, some player actually happy about that.
Not me, i rather have an error free CD every month, play for 3 hours and evolve while enjoying the chit chat with a group, then go home.

Maybe they should spread community days around for different regions. Asia - first Sat of month, Europe second Sat of month, etc. That would reduce server load globally (although not locally), and if a hardcore player wants to fly across an ocean to get a second CD in, well, power to them. Worried it might make life too easy for spoofers, though.
