Do you Buddy your favorite pokemons?

Say you have a 100% larvitar and only 110 candies, would you buddy it? Does the fact that the "Walked x.xxkm with" sentence at the bottom of the pokemon make it lose value?

I'd work on doing Ttar raids. Either you'll get a level 20/25 perfect Ttar, which you won't have to evolve, or much more likely, you'll get an imperfect Ttar and 10 candies. There are things that are much harder to get candy for than Larvitar.

I don't think walking a mon would make it lose value. Especially now with adventure synch buddying is a fine way to gain candy.

The “kms walked” goes away after trading so it has no effect on the trade value

Why do YOU think it would lose value

To me it adds value. To the point that I don't want to transfer my first Larvitar, first Ralts and some other pokemon despite them having bad IVs because some of them have more than a thousand kilometers recorded.

Yes, I walk my favourite Pokemon and that makes them gain value for me. I don't transfer nor trade something that I walked hundreds of km.

I still walk pokémon for candy income, not just for fun. I am in dire need of Larvitar candy so until now I walked Tyra, but that's not very productive. Lately I've been having plans to target pokémon I'll try to have as luckies. The idea is that I would be more inclined to power up luckies further than non luckies. For that, I must also have candies easily for that species. So I focus on very common species and/or low buddy distance pokémon. It's often not the best pokémon, but if I can take a Houndoom to level 35-38, it will be a nice complement to a lvl 30 Tyranitar.

Is this one of those subtle brags? If so my 100p larvatar and ttar are still at the same value as when I've walked with them.

I walk whatever I need candy for, prioritizing getting new mon typically. Right now, I'm walking a Gengar; I ended up needing roughly 800 candy but only finished (after evolutions) with around 350. Add that to Gengar raids, catches, and hatched and eventually it'll catch up. I have multiple Machamp with 300KM+ walked already.

No.
Better to get candies for what you'll need.
