Proposed meta change

An immunity i.e. Ground immunity vs Electric, should count as a triple resistance. Instead of being lumped in with all the double resistances i.e. Moltres double resistance to grass. Immunity is quite a rare thing in pokemon (only six types have an immunity, Ghost having two) and deserves to be recognized in GO.

In this case, Gengar would have a quadruple resistance vs Fighting. Psychic Gengar ftw.

Meme'ing or not, extra resistances doesn't change the fact that Shadow Ball and Sludge Bomb still outperform Psychic against fighting types.

Immunity in Pokemon Go originally only counted as a single resistance. Changing it to a double resistance was a good enough improvement.

My question is: is triple resistance in place of immunity necessary?

Immunity is already recognized as double resistance.

Are folks already number-crunching their full Garchomp teams for Raikou community day duo challenges?

Been saying it for years. Surprised that there isn't any immunity it would definitely shake the meta.

PoGo meta is too overly simplified for full-on immunities to exist. Raid matchups would instantly become trivialized once the raid boss's moves are figured out. If you thought fights were boring now then imagine fights against dual dragon Rayquaza where everyone uses one Gardevoir or A-Ninetales. Or ground types against literally any Raikou set.

Or you know, just make it an actual immunity like it is supposed to be.

My game keeps picking Giratinas for gym battles against Blissey.

That would be one long boring fight.
