On Gengar Day (3rd Nov), will evolved Gengars also receive the exclusive moves of Lick and Psychic? There are conflicting results from the news released from Niantic Support and Pokemon Company.

What specifically has Niantic Support said on the matter that contradicts the text from The Pokemon Company? As far as I know, Niantic (in true Niantic fashion) hasn't said one way or the other. I could have missed it, though.

Pokemon Company said YES ("...all gengars caught or evolved WILL.."

I think is what the OP is referring to. The Pokémon Company says yes.

Yup... But Niantic is not willing to confirm this which is rather disturbing.

The most recent news is from The Pokemon Company stating yes, they will.

A few days ago someone tweeted Niantic asking this question and they replied stating no they would not. Pretty quickly after their response was deleted and replaced with one saying something like "Gengar is a tricky Pokemon so WhO KnOwS!" Why bother to replace a concrete answer with something more ambiguous if the first reply was wrong?

The bigger question that we all likely already know the answer to is was this change planned or just a response to community outcry for their saved Gastly?

The next handy information will be that Shadow Ball will become legacy one hour after the event ends.

Yup...agreed. I hope they don't make it random (RNG) i.e. some gengars evolved might get lick and the some might not. That will be totally not cool. Especially since TMs wont work.
