What am I suppose to do with a Smoochum?

What are the point of these babies?

Get people who want them badly to spend money on incubators.

just for collection/pokedex data...for people who just want to battle, you just evolve it to jynx and hope she has the ice attacks. you then use her for training. otherwise, you grind her.

The point is to complete the pokedex. If you don't see the point of that, well, I guess this is not the game for you.

Idk, does it have good IVs? I hatched a good IV Elekid, sadly it got shitty moves when I evolved it

I can understand the Pokedex filling aspect for 'collectors'. What ticks me off is getting something like a Magby from a 10K egg when I know it reduced my chances of being something like a Lapras. Because even when the Magby is evolved to a Magmar it's not great.

Are they really reducing the chances? Have not the babies just replaced Electrobuzz, Magmar and Jynx? As for the increased holiday 10km egg spawn you seem to get a lot of the babies, but about the same amount of normal 10km spawns as with the standard 10km egg spawn rate.

The adults no longer hatch from eggs, their babies have taken their place. Region exclusives no longer hatch from eggs either as they are now spawning everywhere like Zubats use to.

But there is nothing more fun than watching nine 10K eggs hatch just to get 3 Pinsers and 2 of the great and powerful Onix :-/. The only thing worthy of that batch hatch was dratini candy everything else was a letdown

I've hatched about 20 eggs since event started. I got 2 evvees (one from a 5k and one from 10k), 3 caterpies, 3 spearows, geodude, ponyta, jynx, other randoms, and 1 baby, smoochum.

Furthermore, I've noticed a decrease in rate of hatches with wonder ivs. Now majority are seemingly less than 82%. Anyone else having similar or different obs?

Yup. Looks like hatches got stingy with IVs in the last month or two. Or it may just be my imagination. Same for wild mons.
