Yesterday is definitely not my day. Fail to catch both 2 Giratina (1909/1910 cp) with 15 and 14 balls. But it seems today might be a good day. Used 2 of my 3 CTMs, one on maxed Dragonite with Hurricane, one on maxed perfect Zap with ZC, and both get the optimal moves (Outrage and Thunderbolt). Gonna try my luck again on Giratina!

You should definitely improve your throw mechanics if you ste unable to catch it with 29 balls.

I've had one shot and caught it with the first ball. -Just for bagging purposes

As a veteran I can hit the boss almost every time with at least a great curveball.
Edit: One of them I battled using both my wife's and my account. I caught for my wife on the very first try with a pinap, yet I cannot catch it after 15 balls lol.

I recommend to work on excellent curves. They are not that difficult I find. However, if you're more consistent with great curves then stick with them. Won't make that big of a deal anyway. Just be sure to not miss any balls.

Luck will remain an important factor indeed.

I went on a streak of over 30 consecutive excellent curveballs against Mewtwo without a catch; then on my first circle miss (so just a normal curve) I caught it (the third Mewtwo after 2 missed).

Luck is definitely a factor regardless of throw mechanics, unfortunately. It would be nice to earn some sort of guarantee if you can hit some minimum number of great/excellent throws (say 16 and 12 respectively).

I'm fortunate to have not missed anything too impressive. My gf missed a 98 Mewtwo with 15 balls - that was depressing.

Do you do the “set the circle” technique?

It works less well with timing Giratina and his tendency to attack twice in short succession.

I think it just has a trickier attack. I maybe missed 2-3 balls out of the 6 raids I did today for not aticpating well enough. I’m not that good at throwing (IE I aim for great throws) and those were in the first three.

I've never been this lucky, hadn't hatched a 10k egg in month(s?) Hatched a Beldum, needed the candy...and this, never even hatched a slakoth before this one. 4/4 catching Giratina...none above 1890 though;)
