Shit event with close to 0 new content

No option to evolve Mismagius, Honchkrow, Dusknoir or Weavile. I believe they will appear at the end of event but i might be a bit too naive.

No double candies when transferring/guaranteed raid rare candies, new title screen or lavender town theme

New raid boss (Giratina) isn't bad stat wise, but gets absolutely terrible moves like Shadow Sneak while it could learn Shadow Ball. In other words, it is only as useful as say, Cradily or Ninetales

Event happened after very unsatisfying and destructive Beldum Community Day

Virtually used up all my high level balls and berries and stops only give basic pokeballs, pinaps and nanabs (If you use these garbo to catch any pokemon they flee instantly without pain and without fail)

I would rather die 108 times than play when this event is active.

Long story short, Giratina had the potential to be a bulky Ghost attacker, but Niantic decided to give the terrible charge move Shadow Sneak, even though it could learn the far more powerful Shadow Ball in the main series games.

It is really easy to beat, did a shadow sneak 7am this morning--40, 38, 33 and my first team barely fainted. I'll take something almost worthless if it is that easy, especially after Regis and the pretty tough tier 6 M2.

Well there you go that's your answer. People don't care if you like or don't like it, but its Giratina have you played the main series, do you know anything about this pokemon? It's absolutely disgraceful how Niantic treated it. It's suppost to be bulky, bulky than other legends yet they couldn't be bothered to give it shadow ball. Granted its pretty much guaranteed to return with not only a shiny form but with a better moveset. Honestly I expect a Metagross tier redemption. Like everything else all decisions just boil down to how much money Niantic can make.

Niantic has to stop this. Giving legendaries bad moves to bring it back one day with a better move and shiny...and perhaps a 4th time with a stupid hat?!
However, I wont raid more than the free pass.
