How many items can a Gift contain?

I just got a notification that my Ultra-Friend received 8 items from my Gift.
I have never seen that much stuff pop out of a gift before.
It makes me wonder, what is the max number of items a Gift has been known to carry? Has anybody ever received more than 8 items?

I think it contains 3 perks. One perk could be 100 dust/3 poke ball/2 great ball/1 ultra ball/2 pinap berry/1 potion of any kind/1 revive of any kind/1 egg. So theoretically you could see at most 9 items I guess.

That makes a lot of sense, a max of 3 items X however many of each item you get.
But you can get up to 6 Pokeballs, and I have people get 6 Great Balls in one Gift.
By your theory, 6 Pokeballs, 6 Great Balls, and 2 Pinap Berries is 14 possible items.

I understand the confusion, but Ghao is correct.

You can get three bundles and those bundles could contain 3 great balls. If it contained two bundles of great balls, then the game merges these and says '6 great balls'. The max you could get would be 9 balls, which would be three bundles of 3. If they are the same ball, it would say '9 x balls'.

My favorite gift to receive is 300 stardust. That is 3 bundles of 100 dust and when you get it, there wont ever be anything else in the gift (though eggs dont appear to count toward this 3 bundle limit. You get 3 bundles and then an egg or no egg).
