Wait upcoming event or evolve ?

I don't think it harms to wait until the event ends. You might catch a higher level one saving a lot of candies and dust!

I would wait. You probably want more candies to power it up in any event.

Wait! It's less fun but it's the sensible thing to do... :) Who knows, you may end up evolving 2!

Well since the event ends in about a week, I'd say wait and see what you get.

In the mean time, if you need a fire pokemon for training, you could evolve just to Charmeleon which with those IVs will be a good 957cp.
