Update bug

Since the last update, it seems that about half the time when I start the game, I get the Niantic logo, followed by the splash screen with the progress bar. When the progress bar fills up, the screen goes black and stays black. When this happens, I have to quit the game and restart it, which sometimes helps, and sometimes not. Otherwise the game comes up normally and seems to play fine.

Anyone else experiencing this, or am I the only 'lucky' one?
