the new update put on the camera for catches but all it is a white blob of nothing and it asked me i wanted it off and i hit yes but its still a white blob of nothing

am i just screwed and cant catch anything?

Delete your in game data and login again. The problem will go away.

It’s just their new bug... I’ve always said, “Niantics updates need updates”. I don’t even allow them to have access to my camera but they some how did this time (even checked my settings to be sure they still weren’t allowed). Wonder if that’s a violation of TOS on their end?... Anyways, you have to click on a Pokémon and it gives you the AR catch but instead it’s white. So you just have to run, and then close and reopen the app and then it’ll be normal the next time. So much fun...

1. Go to settings
2. Allow Pokemon Go to have access to your camera
3. Restart the app

Everything must be fine now. My mum had the exact same problem with her account (mine was ok as I had camera allowed)

This is correct. I posted it a while ago below.

"I went to Reddit and got a fix. Go into your Settings/Apps/PokemonGo. Turn on permission to access your camera. Then restart the app. It will ask if you want to try AR mode. Tap on Try Later. That fixed it for me."
