Question about Girafarig
I was looking on pokemon game info for which Pokemon hits harder for Tyranitar's Bite and Crunch, and he hits Girafarig for 97% and then anything else for 79%. I checked a few more Pokémon and Girafarig in most cases recieves extra damage from everything. Am I missing something important here? Does Girafarig sucks that much?

That % i goes from the Pokemon that hits harder Girafarig compared to others. For example, according to the site, Absol has the highest DPS against Girafarig using Snarl and Dark Pulse. That means it's damage compared to others it's a 100% efficient (As far as I'm concerned). The thing is, when I checked the damage from Dark Types, Girafarig always comes on top by receiveing the most damage in almost any situation. It could be because of it's typing? (Normal/Psychic)
Alright I checked that site and realized what's going on there. That percentage is actually how good your attacker is compared to the best possible attacker. The best possible attacker is Absol, so Absol has 100% on Girafarig, Tyranitar has 97% (compared to Absol) etc.
So why is Abra and other Psychic types lower? Simple, because Gengar is the absolute best attacker against all Psychic types. But not Girafarig cause Normal resists Ghost. Go check Gengar's most vulnerable list and you'll get it.
Girafarig's percentages are compared to Absol, while others Psychic Pokemon's percentages are compared to Gengar. Tyranitar deals almost as much damage as Absol (97%), but significantly lower than Gengar (79%).

I knew gengar did more damage than Ttar. Never knew it was that much though.
Also never knew absol actually does more damage than Ttar. Honestly shocked. Why does no one want to use it for Mewtwo raids?? I should get my gf to power her shiny, as she gets bored of using the same stuff!

Ttar has better bulk than Absol so overall the 3% difference in damage in negible compared to the TDO (total damage ouput) of Ttar. Still usually the "optimal" counters are not the only ones you can use. They are the best or necessary when soloing a T3 raid or short manning T4 and T5 raids, but in bigger groups or playing with your couple (or in weather boost) there are many viable pokemons to use! I soloed a Claydol the other day using Shiftry, FP Meganium and Exeggutor because i lack better grass attackers but the weather boost made it possible!
Absol candies are hard to come by since you can only Walk or Raid them (and need a partner to defeat it). I'd love to max out an Absol, but there are much better things to spend my Rare Candies on. I would imagine that this sentiment is pretty much the top reason why more people don't max out Absol.
