halloween event?
any fun ideas what you think is going to be at Halloween event? i think its going to be a dissapoinment but my raid group is hyped so any ideas?

The last two Halloween events were great, there's no reason to believe this one wouldn't be.
The evolution event you mentioned above was a fake leak that caught a lot of traction because the guy who leaked it apparently predicted the first water festival. No official statement came from Niantic about it, only hype from Reddit and clickbait websites.
The Halloween Event has always been one of my favorites, and I have a feeling it won't disappoint this year either.
What were pretty much guaranteed to get:
• Pikachu/Pichu with witch hats.
• Double candy for everything (catches, hatches, transfers, and probably trading).
• Increased spawns for ghost-types.
What we're likely also going to get:
• New shiny introduced.
• Event-themed research tasks.
• Tier 1-4 raid boss shakeup.
• Gen IV partial rollout.
• Giratina in tier 5 raids.
Some things I'm pretty sure about:
1) AFH Pikachu. (The A is Another, the H is for Hat, and I'll let you speculate what the other initial is.)
2) Double Candy, in some form or forms.
Some things I'm less sure about but still think are likely:
3) Giratina as a tier 5 raid boss. Ghost Dragon.
4) Increased spawns of ghosts, possibly gen 4 ghosts.
Other than that, it's all idle speculation.
1) Double Candy for Catching and Hatching - potentially Trading as well. I don't expect double candy for Transferring or Buddies.
2) "Catch (X) Ghost or Dark Pokémon", get a Gengar
2a) I would not be surprised if Gengar had Shadow Claw. I'm not PREDICTING that, just wouldn't be surprised if it had it.
3) Increased Ghost and Dark Spawns, including increased Shiny rates for Pokémon with Shiny Variants
3a) Possibly Shiny Gastly. Not PREDICTING it, just wouldn't be surprised.
3b) Ghost and Dark-types spawning in Cloudy weather as well as Foggy.
3c) Shiny Sneasel. Book it. Done. (What? All predictions have to have something that appears to be plausible, stated with absurd confidence, which is then proven to be laughably wrong after the fact and is held over the predictor for years to come. So, Shiny Sneasel! It's gonna happen. Count on it. I guarantee Shiny Sneasel.)
4) Giratina as the new Legendary raid boss. (Yep, that looks to be all but confirmed. Not gonna toot my own horn until it is confirmed, but this is something I was predicting weeks ago)
5) Eevee with a hat or other accessory. These major events seem to always come with a Pikachu with a Hat, but we just had a random weekend with a Pikachu with a Hat so I'm thinking that we're going to get a tie-in for Let's Go! Eevee, and that will be an Event Eevee.
5a) Oh god I just jinxed it, didn't I? If I had left well enough alone, Niantic wouldn't be doing this in any way, but because I made this prediction, Time and Space have warped (or someone at Niantic has learned how to "Think" like the aliens in Arrival) so that Niantic already has this ready to go and will hit the "Make Live!" button on October 23, and we're going to have a billion million trillion Eevee spawns with some stupid necklace or tiara or flower ring or whatever in its' hair and we're going to be frantically trying to get 10+ Shiny Variants so we can have a chance for every kind of Shiny Eevolution and it's all my fault because I made the prediction ARGH I'm so sorry.
Idk why I never thought of having Gengar be a research task reward possibly having Shadow Claw. Also assuming such a task would be not necessarily easy to find and even if you complete it it would be a lower level, which doesn’t automatically give you something you can use but something you’d have to invest in. I’d be down for that

The last half would suck. I'm holding dozens of legendaries to transfer for double candy... (which is going to create headaches for Beldum Day, as I only have about 20 slots open for new catches.)
