After Suicune

After birds Niantic makes Body Slam Snorlax as research breakthrough reward. I would say Suicune is kind of a disappointment, but maybe after it we could have something fantastic to expect?

Maybe a spooky post-Halloween November where we get given Shadow Claw Gengar with a new ghost-type charged move! Or Ice Beam Lapras.

Shadow Ball is literally the best charged move in the game except for the starter CD exclusives. I wouldn't ask for a new one, just making Shadow Claw available would be plenty interesting.

I expect research breakthroughs to be pokemon that do not evolve. Yeah there is Munchlax, but not in the game yet.

If they were going to do something with Gengar, they should have done it for community day.

Wow I didn't even know BS snorlax was a research reward. Just checked it. After ditching the game for a year, I return to find that the only somewhat valuable legacy pokemon I have was given to everyone for free :D

Suicune is there because this is a catchup mechanic for new and returning players who might have missed the first run. I'd say getting the dex entry is far from disappointing for more casual players.

As for whether we'll get something fantastic afterwards, hard to say. Fantastic is subjective anyway, I wasn't at all interested in any of the birds, Raikou or BS Snorlax as research rewards, but I was looking forward to Entei and Suicune because I appreciate free candy for them.

I just got a lucky Suicune 1579 with hidden dark, granted 13a/12/13, but I could possibly get that to level 30 guilt and RC-free. My other best one is 1595 w/ hidden Psychic. Only other ok one 1582 Hidden Rock. With the easier candy maybe somebody would be interested in trading for a legacy 1560-ish Suicune. My other account got a lucky 2245 ice Mewtwo out of it.

That's quite nice considering the bad lucky rate nowadays. I both like how Suicune looks and want to power up all legendaries in the first 2 gens so it's getting maxed at some point.

I’ve been doing better getting lucky legendaries for lucky legendaries, however I usually trade relevant ones for not-so relevant ones. I received Regice, Mewtwo, Articuno, and now Suicune (none with better than 13a though).

Did the lucky rate actually drop after the IV buff or is that just anecdotal experience talking? Because during recent brief trade sessions with my fiancee I've still managed to roll 3-4 lucky per session, and it's not like we're hitting the 100 daily limit or anything with them. For the record, I have 22 luckies out of 250 trades.

200 total lucky out of 2500 lucky eligible. I went 100+ w/o one over the weekend, so I think it has slowed some
