Try to find an Ultra Friend or higher who can invite you.

That's bad news. It's really helpful to have a Go partner. Mine EX raid got cancelled as well, but fortunately, my wife's is not so she invites me.

Did you see this symbol? I haven't tried the raid but also see the symbol. Not sure if I can still join it.

I heard some people were still able to do a "cancelled" ex-raid, and the active ex-raid symbol looks a bit like a done raid symbol. Maybe, you should have given it a try.
