Hello Fishmen!

The only Gen 1 Gold Badge remaining for me is Fishman. After encountering 1800+ Magicarps and catching 1775 of them, I only got 262 big Magicarps. How is everybody's progress? How many Magicarps did you catch when you got the Gold Badge?

380 big fat magikarps, out of 2611 caught gives a 14,6% catch rate for big fish... Very similar to your catch rate of 14,8%

I just finished last week, thanks to the kanto event. Had been stuck in 294 for ages. Currently 309 out of 2098 caught.

I'm at 191 out of 1267, giving a percentage of 15% fat karps. I was amazed at my 1 out of 50 streak at the start of the event tho.

According to the maths, I should continue to catch 726 more karbs before obtaining the gold medal. The very last one of the starter medals.

Still some way to go.
Two of my current goals is to reach gold in this one and the tiny Rattata one (86 to go there).

Also, apart from an event where the rate of shiny Magikarp was increased (sort of like Community Day) I haven't found a single shiny Magikarp.

I have a number of people saving Karp for me to boost my luckies. That said I was over 750 before trading came out and most of my trades are not big ones

Impressive! Any other mons with a lot of luckies? My top is Eevee with 30, still hunting for that lucky hundo.

427/2859, 14,9% ratio. Finished it at some of the events earlier this year but regrettably didn't screenshot the pokedex page then.

Looks like 15% is the going rate as we're not dealing with small sample sizes. 112/743 for me (15.1%).
