Rayquaza/Dragonite vs Mewtwo

Many here will agree that Rayquaza is the better dragon.

But is it just me or do I feel much more secure fighting with dragonite, more so than the stats suggest?

With Ray I feel the pain with every confusion and will attempt to dodge a FB. With dragonite I literally go 'COME AT ME BRO' and let it absorb the abuse.

I also feel that Ray has some questionable bulk as a legendary even though the stats are similar to Moltres/Zapdos, which I find to be OK. Am I missing something here?

Edit: Talking about 100% level 40 of each species

You are missing something.

You don't use your Moltres/Zapdos against mewtwo, you use them against other pokemon that have less attack. Try using them against Mewtwo and they'll be as *frail* as Ray.

If Ray gets hit by FB, it can survive three more confusions. Dragonite can survive four more, a difference of just one. You should try dodging with the Dragonite aswell ;)

Surviving 1 more confusion could allow Dragonite to release 1 more Outrage before fainting.

Rayquaza;s more or less the class cannon legendary, hgh DPS but really cant take the hits unless they are resisted, and mewtwo doesnt have that., its really only viable VS focus blast or in windy weather. I've always found dragonite better, more bulk

Personally, I choose to keep Rayquaza as a top flying attacker. It’s not as viable as Dragon Type, but I have about 8 high level Dragonites/Salamence/Latios that cover that field just as well.

I feel like Dragonite’s bulk puts him a step further than Rayquaza in being useful.

Im thinking the same.

Rayquaza has 2-5% higher DPS?

But

1. dragonite is easier to lvl up; not requiring rare candies and players having tons of candies.

2. Its easier to get good iv/lucky.

3. Alocates rare candies to mewtwo etc.

4. Dragonite can tank mewtwos ice beam givning a higher DPS rate against in 2/10 match ups.
