Daily Gift reset

Hi, wanted to see if other still have this problem. I reached my daily gift limit at about 6p on Sept 13, yesterday. I've been trying to open gifts since midnight on Sept 14, but I still receive the message that my limit has been reached. I've tried restarting app, reinstalling the app, but seems I have to wait til midnight tonight?

Does anyone know a work around? Trying to take advantage of the 7k eggs, received a Farfetch'd and Kangaskhan, still looking for Mr. Mime and Tauros.
