Worth keeping high IV base evolutions after its CD?

On CD, we (usually) get a superior move for the evolved form of a Pokemon. So is it worthwhile to keep high IV ones afterwards when that move can no longer be obtained?

Cheers...

Well it depends on what pokemon you're talking about

only the starters got superior moves.
Tyranitar, Dragonite, eevee, Ampharos all have their best (or in Tyrantiar's case, one of its 2 best as its rock and dark sets are for different purposes) sets still available

I’d argue that Tyranitar’s CD move is much better than its normal optimal move set. Ampharos as well, as it’s outclassed by a large number of other electric types, and it will gain dragon subtyping with mega evolutions giving dragon pulse STAB damage.

It's rock and dark sets have different coverage options, they really arent comparable to eachother in terms of utility (their only overlap is lugia/Xatu), yes in a neutral setting they are faily close (however bite/stone edge actually being better than SD/SE or B/C) but the difference between all of three is fairly small (only .3 dps from highest to lowest)

Yeah, ampharos is (sadly) not the best electric attacker, but its mega could change that, though that would be mostly due to stat increases

It is entirely possible that we get another chance at moveset currently unavailable.

Body Slam Snorlax returned and legendaries that we thought were gone forever have been back in many different ways.

Right now I would keep a high IV Charmander. Even without Blast Burn it's a possible Tangela counter

nope no need at all to keep any Pokémon after it's had its community day..... I straight up can't think of a single thing a double dark Tyranitar could possibly be good for..... And is there anything more useless than an Outrage Dragonite?.... think before you post!!!!!

Concur, cant think of a use for a double dark tyrantiar in a gen with 5 psychic/ghost types, or dragonite against dragons, nope, not one use.

Depends on the species. Of course, keep all high IV Dratinis, Larvitars and Eevees. Send your Pikachus, Mareeps and Squirtles to the professor. Keep one high IV Bulbasaur and Charmander in case the exclusive move becomes available in future.
