No question really. A Smack Down/Stone Edge Tyranitar is superior in both DPS and TDO.
Rock Omastar is a still a strong number two choice though in the majority of weather conditions, only dropping down during rain.

Yes you should. In fact if i could have multiple, my team will be only consisted of them and the smack down tyranitars.

Well this is a game after all... If you cant use your legacy Omastar against a Moltres, then when?
If I had an RT/RS Omastar I would use it in this case where it can still shine, because I use my 7 Smackdown Tyranitars very frequently in both raids and gyms.

Because it’s just a game I plan on leading off with my L35 RT/RS sudowoodo.

Hmm, maybe I'll use an all-unique, all-rock attack team:
Thank you for letting us know you have the most desired legacy Pokemon of all time under the guise of asking for advice.

Disagree. It was one of the most desired legacies, but with SD/SE Ttar, it's now just a decent option for the few people who have one. SC Gengar is probably more desired, and is certainly more relevant today.

I will gladly trade one of my SD/SE T-tars for a RT/RS Omastar.
And SC Gengar is much more likely than RT Omastar to be available again at some point (e.g. Gastly community day).

From a collector's standpoint it's still among the most desirable out of scarcity more than anything. But yeah, with SD/SE Tyranitar and potentially the other rock monsters coming in Gen 4 it's not the premier attacker it once was.

If you're concern doing damage as fast as possible, dont use omastar if you have smack down tyranitar, its got over 3 DPS on rock throw omastar and more TDO even though omastar double resists fire. Tyrantiar's just that good.

It depends really. Are you shortmanning it? Do you care about damage balls? Do you want style points? If the last one is the only one that matters then sure. If nothing else it absolutely warrants a party slot if you don't have six SD Tyranitar.

I have another Moltres Day question. When is Moltres Day?

I'm guessing September 8th, the Saturday after the Yokosuka event. Articuno day and Zapdos day were the Saturdays after the Dortmund and Go Fest weekends.
